Welcome Reception
 
Nurses from Saudi-Arabia students at the University College
 

In February 2009 the new educational programme Degree of Bachelor of Science in Nursing was started at Sophiahemmet University College. The first 26 students are all nurses from Saudi-Arabia. Their aim is to achieve a BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) and the studies take place both at the campus of Sophiahemmet University College and via the virtual educational environment International Nurse Online (INO).

A welcome reception for the students and their families was arranged on March 14. Per Lundberg, Chairman of the Board of Sophiahemmet, ideell förening and Jan Åke Lindgren, Vice-Chancellor of Sophiahemmet University College, gave welcome speeches. Music performances by Ulla-Carin Börjesdotter, Jonathan Fritzén, Malou Meilink and Backa-Hans Eriksson were also part of the reception ceremony.
